There are so many of us who love Ingrid's Wood & Wool Stools. I've been wanting to make my version for quite some time now. So this past week I finally started to make a granny cover for an old table I painted black & white last year. I'm loving it!

I've collected some twigs and thinking of adorning them with some crocheted leaves & flowers, the idea which has also been floating around in the blogland for quite some time now. See them here & here.
If you have made something similar, share them with me. I would love to see your creations!

I did not have an idea how wonderful you feel after completing your first ever blanket in the Crochet World! I took way too much time to complete this afghan but thankfully the Summer got delayed in my part of the world and I got the chance to snuggle in my little blankie after completing it in the beginning of March.
I took so many photos while I was working on it but never posted here so I've sorted out just a few of them to share with you today.
I'm leaving you with these photos and will be back soon to show you the Wedding Gifts I'm working on for a friend.
Pattern: Southwest Passage Afghan from The Ultimate Book of Scrap Afghans
Pattern Review: Super easy & lovely pattern.

I made this sweet bag for a very sweet little girl. She chose the yarn & color herself.

You can get the pattern here
A simple, quick & lovely pattern!

I was super excited to present it to her and she was super happy to recieve it!
The pleasure of making gifts with your own hands is simply out of this world and the look of gratitude you get on the faces of your loved ones cannot be explianed in words.

Atlast the sun has started coming out and I'm getting some beautiful sunlight in my room.
Playing with hook & yarn and sipping hot tea in glorious sunlight is one of the simple yet beautiful pleasure in life!

Did I ever tell you that I love, I seriously love stripes. They just make me feel *happy*.......you know that special happiness when your heart starts jumping, this exactly happens to me when I see stripes. This stripy crocheted mat is inspired from a plastic coaster I have sitting on my computer table (currently with lots of stains of tea & coffee). I just felt like making something in colorful stripes and this mat is the result of that sudden thought.

Here I feel like *eating* it!

Its curved from one end (just because I couldn't manage to make it curved from the other end!)

This Beeeautiful vase belongs to my grandma and I so so love it.
So why the title of the post says Part 1? Because I want to show you the other stripy goodies I have which inspired me to make something stripy from my own hands!
If anyone of you like stripes and made or bought something stripy recently, you should defenitly tell me about it because I looooove stripes!
See you later!

The two granny square cushions I had been working on are finally complete now. I named them chocolate granny cushions but I also smell coffee when I look at them so you can also call them coffee cushions if you want to.
These are going to be a gift for an aunt and the color combination was specially requested. They are my best cushions so far. It was so much fun to make them except that not-very-fun-part of running out of the yarn thrice but I got the same color which is quite unusual. So this project has practically taught me that buying extra yarn is very important even if you are sure you are not going to need more.

I got these sooper matching buttons for these cushions. Nice & matching buttons always add that special flick to your cushion projects so always spend some time to get the best ones.
The other thing I wanted to share with you all are my yum yum candy pillows which had been my best pals during this Summer. I have this nasty backache problem so I cannot imagine to sit & crochet without them.

I crocheted the ties by mixing two shades of pink. They look so lovely & pretty and yes I love to play with them !
A few more cushion shows are coming soon and in the next post I will (hopefully) show you my Starling Handbag; one of the crochet projects I wanted to do since forever ;)
